How does iPlum backup & restore work?

What is the backup/archive retention policy?

All Professional plans have text archive enabled by default. Text are available in your iPlum portal for 1 year on rolling basis.

All Premium plans have text and call recording archive enabled by default. Text and recording are available in your iPlum portal for 1 year on rolling basis.

Note: If you are on older iPlum add-on plan (pre 5/25/24), the archive is limited to 6 months on rolling basis with security and backup plan. Please upgrade your plan to latest plans.

Important: For all plans, the archive “starts from the date” you enrolled in the plan. It will not restore previous texts or contacts or fax if that option or plan was not enabled.

If you have older (pre 5/26/24 plans) we encourage you to update to newer plans which have higher backup/archive time period and no add-ons.

  1. Login to iPlum portal https://my.iplum.com
  2. Dashboard || Users || Click iPlum Login ID of the User || Plans || Number Plan
  3. Select Professional or Premium plan.

How do I restore my texts in iPlum app?

If you happen to delete your app or get logged out, you can retrieve last sixty days (60) text messages in iPlum app using Restore feature in iPlum Settings. Business contacts are backed up in iPlum app.

Note: You can restore texts older than 60 days in your iPlum portal.

How to get usage logs online with text content ?

Login to online portal https://my.iplum.com/  

Click Usage Reports on the left menu.  Select the “User” and “Month” to get the log of all usage for that line.  

There is a text icon to the right of each text log which has the content of texts.  

You can download all logs as csv file. It will download the text content which you can save.

Pre 5/25/24 backup add-on plans (Ignore if you have latest plans):

Security and backup add-on plan required for any of these options: web texting, portal contacts, secure text channels, business contacts, text to email, fax archive, HIPAA healthcare compliance, legal, finance, sales, support compliance etc.

With default privacy settings your data (texts, business contacts or fax) are not stored at iPlum. You can only start archiving them by using the security and backup plan. The backup will “start from the date” you enroll in the plan. It will not restore previous texts or contacts or fax because they are not archived.

There are three (3) types of backup add-on plans:

  • Security & backup enhanced for phone line call/text ($5.99/mo paid annually or $6.99/mo paid monthly).
    Includes: Security and backup for business contacts, text for phone line; unlimited secure text channels; text to email. It is mandatory for HIPAA compliance on a phone line. Text are archived for last six (6) months on rolling basis. You can download texts online in password protected iPlum portal.

          

  • Security & backup for fax ($3.17/mo paid annually or $3.99/mo paid monthly).
    Includes: Security and backup for fax line. It is mandatory for HIPAA compliance on a fax line.
  • Mobile communication compliance plan for financial & legal sectors ($9.99/mo paid monthly).
    Includes: Security and backup for business calls, contacts, text; unlimited secure text channels; text to email, call recording. It works for financial, legal, sales and support compliance on a mobile line.
